Cargo\u00a0sous\u00a0terrain\u00a0AG\u00a0is\u00a0participating\u00a0in\u00a0Innosuisse’s\u00a0<\/span>flagship<\/span> research project. Since the beginning of the year, the “Smart Urban Multihub Concept” has been developing a logistics concept under the direction of the ZHAW that is intended to sustainably reduce freight traffic in urban areas. According to the Federal Office for Spatial Development, online trade, additionally fuelled by the pandemic, will increase the volume of parcels by another 75 percent by 2040.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to CST, project partners include actors from retail, logistics and science who want to find solutions for the increasing flow of goods in cities. Pilot projects are being researched around multimodal hubs, parcel stations for the last mile, online auctions of transport capacities, smart goods distribution using AI, and incentives for collaboration. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
