The Federal Council has adopted the first version of the sectoral plan for underground freight transport. The Federal Council’s decision enables the targeted further development of the Cargo sous terrain (CST) project.<\/p>\n

The Federal Council has adopted the first version of the Sectoral Transport Plan on Underground Freight Transport. The decision is based on the Federal Law on Underground Transport of Goods (UG\u00fcTG), which enables the Federal Council to designate suitable areas for the realisation of CST facilities.<\/p>\n

As a first step, the Federal Council has defined interim results for the tunnel section between H\u00e4rkingen and Zurich planned by CST, which will serve as the basis for further planning and coordination of the project.<\/p>\n
