The initiative came in response to a call for tenders from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) for the integration of renewable energies on motorway service areas and noise barriers. 45 sites along motorways in French-speaking Switzerland, Valais and Bern will be equipped with unique photovoltaic (PVA) systems &#8211; including innovative solar folding roofs. Cargo sous terrain, as a total logistics system powered entirely by renewable energies, is a long-term customer.
