Study with Bern confirms potential of a CST network extension
Together with CST, the Canton of Bern examined various route alternatives for a CST network extension. Four options were analysed for feasibility and economic viability, possible hub locations were defined, and the potential was comprehensively demonstrated. The effects on the economy, society and the environment were also taken into account. The study concludes that a future with the CST Bern-Thun-Biel network extension will generate considerable added value and positive development for the canton. This confirms the central role of these regions for the CST network expansion and also for the expansion towards the Romandie.
