Federal government supports the vision, but requests further clarification
A meeting with the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC), the cantons and the City of Zurich on 22 September confirmed Cargo sous terrain’s (CST) assessment that the conditions for implementing the first section are not yet in place. The federal government recognises CST as an innovative vision: DETEC head Albert Rösti confirmed on the same day that the doors remain open for CST and that talks will continue.
