ABCD Horizon: Renewable energy thanks to photovoltaics along motorways
Cargo sous terrain (CST) forms the ABCD Horizon consortium together with aventron, BG Consulting Engineers and dhp technology. The initiative came in response to a call for tenders from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) for the integration of renewable energies on motorway service areas and noise barriers. 45 sites along motorways in French-speaking Switzerland, Valais and Bern will be equipped with unique photovoltaic (PVA) systems – including innovative solar folding roofs. Cargo sous terrain, as a total logistics system powered entirely by renewable energies, is a long-term customer. ABCD Horizon thus makes a contribution to the sustainable supply of energy and goods in Switzerland.
